Week 48

By Lynz

       Week 48

I feel quite humble, dunno why, and its not much good feeling like that when you've got a damn dragon of a virus to slay is it.  Mustn't fall down now with the end in sight.  I'm far too excited - its like all my birthday's are arriving at once and I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

I rang the doctors surgery to check they accepted sharp boxes, so I could be ready to take it down there tomorrow.... and they said the local council has to collect them.  So I have to leave it in a safe place outside and they will call within a week, might be as soon as tomorrow.  So I shall have to sit with my last jab on my desk all day and quickly do the necessary if a large dustcart arrives to collect it,  What else would the council use?  Maybe little white vans or something? What happens to it then?  Does it get burnt?  I should have asked.

I am having my hair trimmed tomorrow, that will mean the last bit of blond colour will disappear and I will come face to face with myself for the first time in years, lol!

I have also booked a pedicure and a manicure for a couple of weeks time, as a special treat, so I'm looking forward to that.  The salon use all natural products - no nasties at all, just the job!  The weather is warming up nicely and it might be time to go into sandals by then.

I sincerely hope this week passes without incident and that next week we can have one massive big blog celebration because by then my tx will be complete.  I might be limping and be a bit sore, bruised and battered but I'm down not out and the finishing line is in sight. Yipppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Go For It Mum!!!!. You get excited if you want, you deserve to, you've been kind of imprisoned for the last year and you're about to be freed, you can jump up and down for joy!!!. You've been tied to this tx for 48 weeks, thats a hell of a long time and not many people can fully understand what you've been through, be proud of yourself for the way you have come through it, no more jabs after today!!!! Dont be worrying about "incidents" happening this next week, fact is its over.
I'm so proud of you, not everybody could go through all this. You're Amazing!!!! Love Ya XXXXX.

Aw Tams, that is so sweet xxx Half of me just can't believe that I am so close to the finish line - I can taste freedom just around the corner and it feels good. The other half of me is ready to get on with the rest of my life NOW!
As predicted the council wagon came earlier today to take my sharps box, so its gone now without the last pen. I shall enjoy jumping up and down on it later and pulverising it.
Love you to xxx

It will be such a great feeling to get rid of that sharps bin! (For the record, I think medical waste ends up in landfills!)
Congragulations!

Thanks, Mr & Mrs M for your kind and positive thoughts. I'm glad the blog has helped - modern technology at its best, eh. I assure you I'm gonna have the fastest detox in hepper history and get my life back on track. 18 more pills and I'm cooked!
Hope you are getting settled in your new home and that it is beginning to feel like home to you both. Happy Birthday for next week Mr M, catch up with you both soon. xx

Yep with the sharps bin and all the other paraphenalia gone now, the hump on my back feels a lot lighter, lol! I can't believe they put it in landfill though.... why can't they burn it and bury the ashes, surely that would be safer? Probably something to do with poluting the atmosphere....
Take care MYS xx
